With today's data base technology, it isn't enough to check your credit report every couple of years. Your information is constantly changing. If you're planning a major purchase in the next year or so, you may need to check your reports on a quarterly or semi-annual basis. Credit Data Exchange, Inc. ("CDX") 

This company supplies consumer credit reports (for valid commercial uses), business reports, asset verification, court record checks, motor vehicle checks, pre-employment background checks. It will also find people and perform other investigative services. It's a good way to see what types of data can be tracked.
