Want to make sure you have the latest patch update for your Quicken software? You've come to the right place! 

Before you begin

  • While we provide the patch update below, they can also be found in Quicken by going to Help > Check for Updates.
  • You can check your release version by opening Quicken and going to Help > About Quicken
  • If you reinstall Quicken, make sure you've installed the latest patch release before opening your data file; otherwise, you may be unable to use online services.

Important: If you missed any releases, don't worry. You only need to download the most recent release to update Quicken.

How to Install the Update (US and Canada)

Quicken for Windows: Manual Patch Update

  1. Click on the link above for the update you prefer (these steps apply to both).
  2. In the bottom left corner of your browser, click Open file when the download is complete.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
  4. When finished, you can verify the release version of Quicken by selecting the Help menu in the software and choosing About Quicken.

Release R55.26 (US Versions, April 2024)

What’s Fixed

  • Some customers did not see all their available new transactions after an account update.
  • Hidden accounts were mistakenly excluded from the Portfolio Value card on the Dashboard. Accounts will now remain included regardless of their visibility in transaction entry lists.
  • Fixed minor bugs.

What's New

  • You now have the option to download Pending Transactions. This will allow you to see transactions that have not yet cleared if your bank provides that information to Quicken. Go to Preferences > Pending Transactions to enable this feature for your banking and credit card accounts.

  • Enhanced the Investment Partnership Report by consolidating two separate reports into one with toggles for "show detail" / "hide detail".
  • Enabled the paste option in the All Transactions register. Now users can copy and paste transactions across different sections of the register.
  • Improved validation process to offer feedback on modifications made during data file validation, such as identifying specific items removed or repaired.
  • Improved One Step Update progress screen with clearer messaging, reduced user interruptions, and faster updates.
  • Modified the automatic backup creation during the patch process to occur only after a user opts to install the patch, eliminating confusion from premature backup files when patch installation is delayed or cancelled.
  • Improved startup performance by implementing several optimizations and removing unnecessary checks and outdated code.

  • Resolved an issue in the "Subtotal by" functionality within Customize for reports, ensuring accurate subtotalling in the Capital Gains report according to the selected criteria.
  • Aligned Net Worth calculations between the account bar and dashboard card, addressing discrepancies related to rounding or conversion errors.
  • Fixed issue using data for contact information during account setup, ensuring financial institution details are accurately displayed.
  • Resolved an issue affecting the synchronization of Business Intent Credit cards with web and mobile applications, causing a disruption in transaction downloads.
  • Addressed a crash related to online bill reminders that sometimes occurred during One Step Update.
  • Resolved an issue with Direct Connect process to properly update and send new passwords, addressing errors caused by the use of outdated passwords.
  • Eliminated logo duplication for financial institutions in the Account Add dialog.
  • Corrected an issue in the Tax Planner where the values and estimated refund / amount due would change when users reviewed the details.
  • Resolved an issue where only a portion of scanned receipt attachments appeared in the Transaction Attachments screen.
  • Corrected stock split calculations in Net Worth and Account Balance reports without intervals.
  • Aligned Reports & Graph Center budget report options with existing budget settings.
  • Fixed various crashes including a crash that sometimes occurred in Quicken's Payee Search.
  • Restored the "Update portfolio on investing.quicken.com” option in the One Step Update setup. This option was not visible to some customers.
