Quicken includes transaction reports, summary reports, comparison reports, and more. As you build your Quicken skills, you\u2019ll find yourself using the reports frequently to dig into your finances and get a clear picture of what is happening with your money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you learn your way around reports in Quicken, EasyAnswer helps you get started. <strong>EasyAnswer <\/strong>lets you select a report that answers a question about your finances, such as \u201c<strong>Where did I spend my money?<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>What taxable events occurred?<\/strong>\u201d You can create the report with the goal in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image mac-easyanswer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.quicken.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/easyanswer_0.png\" alt=\"EasyAnswer Mac User Interface\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EasyAnswer <\/strong>has been a popular feature among <strong>Quicken for Windows<\/strong> users who appreciate the straightforward approach to reports. Recently, <strong>Quicken for Mac <\/strong>added <strong>EasyAnswer <\/strong>to its reports selection. With the new <strong>Mac EasyAnswer <\/strong>reports, you can see the type of report listed above each question. \u201c<strong>Where did I spend my money?<\/strong>\u201d for example, is a <strong>Summary Report<\/strong>. <strong>\u201cHow much did I spend?\u201d<\/strong> is a <strong>Transaction Report<\/strong>. <strong>\u201cHow has my spending changed?\u201d<\/strong> is a <strong>Comparison Report<\/strong>. These are all types of reports that are listed in the sidebar along with <strong>EasyAnswer<\/strong>. You can explore any of these reports at any time to see what they can do for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another essential element to remember about reports is that you can save them for later. If you create a report to track your expenses in a particular category, for example, you can use the <strong>Save<\/strong> icon to save the filters and have a ready-made report to track that category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want a copy of that exact report to send to someone else or review later, use the <strong>Print<\/strong> icon to print\/save it as a PDF file. You can also use <strong>Export<\/strong> to save the report as a <strong>CSV<\/strong> file. <strong>CSV<\/strong> stands for <strong>Comma Separated Values. <\/strong>Any spreadsheet program, such as <strong>Excel <\/strong>or <strong>Numbers<\/strong>, can open a CSV file.
