Column name in register changes depending on account selected

The second column in a Quicken account register can be referred to as NUM, Number, Ref, or Action depending on the type of account, which is selected.

These accounts have NUM as a column heading:

  • Checking
  • Savings
  • Money Market

These accounts have Number as a column heading:

  • Invoice / Receivables
  • Bills / Payables

These accounts have Ref as a column heading:

  • Credit Card
  • Cash
  • House
  • Vehicle
  • Asset
  • Liability

These accounts have Action as a column heading:

  • Brokerage
  • IRA, SEP, Keogh
  • 401(k)/403(b)
  • Dividend Reinvestment Plan
  • Single Mutual Fund
  • Other Investment
