Determining the Payment Method Used in Quicken Bill Pay

To see the payment method used for a payment within Quicken,  please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the account register in Quicken that the payment is drawn from.
  2. Locate the transaction in your Quicken register.
  3. If the transaction shows a number in the check number column, then the payment was processed as a paper check, and this number is the actual check number of the payment. If the transaction says Sent, then the payment was processed electronically.

You can also see the payment method on the Quicken Bill Pay Web site.

  1. Log in to www.quickenbillpay.com with your user ID and password.
  2. Click the Bills & Payments tab.
  3. If a check number is listed, the number displayed refers to the physical check number used for the printed check payment. If the payment says E-Pay, then the transaction was processed electronically.
