Dropbox has replaced Symantec Online Backup

Dropbox is now Quicken's online backup service.

  • Symantec Online Backup will no longer be available after 12/31/2017.
  • No new subscriptions to Symantec Online Backup will be accepted after 3/1/2017.


Introducing Dropbox

Quicken is committed to providing its users tools to help them lead healthy financial lives.  As of Fall 2017, we have switched over to Dropbox for all Quicken backup needs. Dropbox Plus offers many additional benefits such as: significantly more storage for the same price, easier access to your Quicken data file, the ability to sync files between multiple computers and more. Symantec's Quicken Online Backup has been discontinued

On December 31, 2017, the Quicken Online Backup service was discontinued.  We encourage Quicken Online Backup users to begin backing up Quicken data elsewhere, such as Dropbox, local storage, external hard drives, or trusted cloud-based providers.  No new subscriptions or renewals will be accepted after March 1, 2017.


What does this mean?

If you're a Quicken Online Backup user, as of December 31, 2017, your data has been removed from Symantec's servers and can no longer be retrieved.


If you renewed your Quicken Online Backup account between 1/1/2017 and 3/1/17

All users who renewed their account during this period will be able to use Symantec's Quicken Online Backup until February 28, 2018.
