Error in Quicken for Mac: Invalid Credentials. Access Denied.


When attempting to download or refresh an account in Quicken for Mac you may receive the following message:

Invalid Credentials. Access Denied.


This error can be caused by using special characters in the password used to connect to the financial institution through Quicken, and can be accompanied by an error code (typically 103).  To resolve this issue, please change the password to not include any special characters (use alpha numeric only).  This issue will be resolved in a future release of the program.
