Error When Printing Checks Using PhotoSmart Printers: Paper mismatch

When using PhotoSmart printers to print checks, the following error occurs:

Paper mismatch

This error can be caused by a dirty or damaged media sensor on the PhotoSmart printer.

To resolve the issue:

  1. Select the File menu and select Printer Setup > For Printing Checks.
  2. On the Check Printer Setup window, click Settings.
  3. Click the Paper tab and in the Paper Type drop-down list, select Plain Paper.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click OK on the Check Printer Setup window.

You should now be able to print your checks.
