How do I create an Intuit ID in Quicken?

The Intuit ID is a universal access ID for online connected services and registration. With an Intuit ID in Quicken, you can

  • Download transactions from your bank into Quicken
  • Pay your bills online directly from Quicken
  • Use Quicken on your phone or tablet
  • Snap and store receipts on your phone and sync to Quicken desktop
  • Receive email and text alerts
  • Get notified in product when a free update is available
  • Access Quicken Support & Live Community

Create an Intuit ID when you register your Quicken software or setup your financial accounts to download transactions into Quicken.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Choose one of the following to get started:
    1. On the Welcome to Quicken 2014 screen, select I’m New. (Don’t worry if you don’t see this screen, it only shows up once -- the first time you open Quicken.)
    2. Select Help > Register Quicken. (This menu item does not appear if you've already registered your Quicken software)
    3. Select Tools > One Step Update...
  2. If you have previously registered with Quicken.com, Quicken.investing.com, TurboTax, QuickBooks Online, or if you’ve created an Intuit ID in the past, you can use those credentials as your Intuit ID in this copy of Quicken. Select, Already have an Intuit ID?
    Otherwise…
  3. Provide your email address. This will be your Intuit ID.
  4. Create a password. The password should have 8 or more characters, upper case and lower case letters (e.g. Aa), a number (e.g. 1234) and a symbol (e.g. !@#$).
  5. Select a security question and provide an answer. Select a security question and provide an answer. Use this if you need to recover your password.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Provide your First Name, Last Name, and Address. If you have the option, provide your mobile number if you plan on using Quicken’s mobile and alerts features.
  8. Let us know where you purchased Quicken and what other methods you’ve used to manage your personal finances.
  9. Click Next, then Done.
