How do I Setup Preferences

  • Choose Edit menu > Preferences.
  • In the left pane, click Setup.
  • In the right pane, select the settings you want to use.
    • Keyboard Mappings
When you hold down the CTRL key and press Z, X, C, or V, you choose commands from the Edit menu in standard Windows applications. These same combinations choose different commands in Quicken, as described in the table below.

If you prefer to use the Windows assignments, choose Windows standard (Undo/Cut/Copy/Paste). This doesn't affect other CTRL key combinations in Quicken
    • Turn On Animation
When this box is checked, all of the animation effects in Quicken are turned on.
    • Automatically Minimize Pop-up Windows
When this box is checked, features that display in a Quicken pop-up window minimize when you click outside the pop-up area (for example, on a menu or on the Quicken Tool Bar).

When this box is cleared you can display multiple pop-up windows (for example, side-by-side reports), and you must individually minimize each one.

  • Click OK to save your changes.
