Before you begin

  • If you missed any releases, don't worry.  You only need to download the most recent release to update Quicken.
  • To check your release version, open Quicken and go to Help > About Quicken.  If it's a lower number than the release here, you need to update.
  • We recommend that you don't revert to an earlier patch release after updating, as this could prevent you from logging in to your Quicken data file.
  • If you reinstall Quicken, make sure you're on the latest release version before opening your data file; otherwise, you'll be unable to use online services.

Manual Update: If you don't download financial updates from your bank or use Billpay, you can download the Manual update.

Mondo Patch Update: If you are unable to update Quicken, or if you receive an error while updating, download the Mondo Patch update (because of its size, the Mondo Patch can take longer to install).

Download and Install the Latest Update (Canadian Versions)

Release R16.1 (US Versions, Feb 2018)

Before you take this update, we recommend you perform a One Step Update to ensure that your data is synced to the cloud and also make a backup of your data file.

  • Fixed: An issue that would cause intermittent crashes for some customers.

Release R6 (Canada Versions, Sept 2017)

Critical Update: Sign In and Authentication Change

  • We have replaced Intuit's login service with a new Quicken login service.
    • When you install this update you will be prompted to setup a new Quicken ID.
    • Your new Quicken ID will be used to sign in to Quicken going forward.
    • You may still use your Intuit ID for other Intuit products.
  • This is a required update. Failure to install this update and setup your Quicken ID will result in a loss of connected services.

Vault Password Change

  • Due to our switch to a Quicken login service, we have removed the ability to protect your Password Vault with an Intuit Password. You may be required to set a new Password Vault password after installing this update. (If you already used a custom Vault password no action will be required.).
