Important: If you have reinstalled Quicken 2016 for Windows (US Version) and you are unable to open Quicken or Quicken crashes after trying to update to the latest release, please read this Community Announcement for a resolution.

Before you begin

  • If you missed any releases, don't worry.  You only need to download the most recent release to update Quicken.
  • To check your release version, open Quicken and go to Help > About Quicken.  If it's a lower number than the release here, you need to update.
  • We recommend that you don't revert to an earlier patch release after updating, as this could prevent you from logging in to your Quicken data file.
  • If you reinstall Quicken, make sure you're on the latest release version before opening your data file; otherwise, you'll be unable to use online services.
