Quicken Launcher has stopped working and needs to close
This error may occur when backing up or closing your data file, if the file name is excessively long or if the file path exceeds 250 characters.
To resolve this issue, make sure your data file is saved to the following location (if not, move it there):
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Quicken
- Windows 10, 8, 7, and Vista: C:\Users\username\Documents\Quicken
If your file already resides in the above location, shorten the file name by renaming it to 8 characters or less. Avoid using <* ? | " : \ / > in the file name.
