Why Did Quicken Remove My Password Vault Login Information?


If you find that your Quicken program has removed the stored login credentials from your Password Vault, this is because the file is either (1) upgrading from a product version that did not use Intuit ID for registration and online banking access, or (2) you have used a different Intuit ID than the one you previously used in this file.

This is designed as an extra layer of protection from potential fraud, should someone gain access to your Quicken file but not have your Intuit ID or Intuit ID password. They may be able to gain access to the file but not to your banking login credentials, if they use a different ID than was previously used.
