What kind of reports and charts are available with Quicken 2015 for Mac?

The reports available with Quicken 2015 for Mac include Account Summary, Spending By Category, Category Summary, Last Month, This Month, Net Income, Spending Cloud, Spending Over Time, Monthly Budget chart, Investment Performance report that shows your portfolio value, cost basis, realized and unrealized gains, and Tax Schedule reports (Schedule A, B, C, D). You can also add customized categories for other tax reports, such as Schedule E.

Some reports such as Cash Flow, Net Worth Over Time, are not available at this time.

Does this mean that Quicken 2015 for Mac is a subscription service?

Quicken 2015 for Mac is a one-time payment product, not a subscription service. For future products, such as Quicken 2016 for Mac, it is completely optional whether you want to buy. There is no automatic renewal.

What does “free features” mean?

Free features are new capabilities developed to improve the product. These free features are offered when and if available only with Quicken 2015 for Mac.

Can I install Quicken 2015 for Mac on my tablet?

No—it is available only for full Mac OS (desktop and laptop computers). However, the free Quicken 2015 mobile companion app is available for iPad and Android tablets. The mobile companion app for iOS devices can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store. The mobile app for Android devices can be downloaded from Google Play.

What does the mobile companion app do?

The mobile companion app gives you anywhere, anytime access for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices and provides the following capabilities.

  • Syncs your desktop and mobile info across devices
  • Shows account balances and transactions

Will all my information be converted from other Quicken products to Quicken 2015 for Mac?

All information from Quicken Essentials for Mac will convert to Quicken 2015 for Mac.

With Quicken 2007 and Quicken Windows, your data files will convert to Quicken 2015 for Mac with the exception of budgets and attachments. Certain features are not available in Quicken 2015 for Mac today, so those types of information will not get transferred from Quicken 2007 and Quicken Windows: loan amortization schedule, debt reduction plan, lifetime planner, savings goals, explicit lot assignments, security watch list, home inventory, and address book (Windows only). ESPP and Incentive Stock options will transfer over as a standard holding (without tax-related information such as strike price).

If you have Quicken Windows Home & Business, your account data is preserved, but you will not get rental property manager specific features such as tenant list and rent center data If you have Quicken Windows Rental Property Manager, your account data is preserved, but you will not get business- specific invoicing data.

What if I have a version of Quicken for Mac or Quicken Windows that is older than the dates above? Can I convert my data to Quicken 2015 for Mac?

Converting data from versions of Quicken Windows and Quicken Mac older than the versions listed in the question above is not supported.

Am I required to register my copy of Quicken 2015 for Mac?
