Is the 2018 Release of Quicken a subscription product?

The 2018 release of Quicken is a subscription product. The subscription is designed so that you never go through the upgrade process again. In addition to Online Services, such as downloading transactions from your bank or syncing to your mobile device, you'll also automatically receive new Quicken features, versions, and services as part of your Quicken subscription, so you'll always have the newest product.

Will the 2018 Release of Quicken convert my existing Quicken data?

Yes. The 2018 Release works just the same as previous Quicken products; after you install the 2018 Release on your computer, you'll be prompted to convert your existing Quicken file to the new version. If you already have a membership, you'll simply update to the latest releases through your product, no file conversion necessary.

What is the Quicken ID?

All Quicken products use the new Quicken ID. The Quicken ID is a new ID you'll use to access all Quicken applications, including Quicken for Windows, Quicken for Mac, Quicken Mobile, and Quicken.com. If you don't already have a Quicken ID, you'll be prompted to create one when you install and open Quicken. You can still use Quicken manually if you prefer, however, you will need to go online to register your Quicken ID at least once.

What happens to my data if my subscription is cancelled or expires?

The Quicken Data Access Guarantee means that whether you renew your subscription or not, you'll always have full access to and ownership of your data. You can view, edit, export, and manually enter transactions and accounts for Deluxe and higher versions, even after your subscription ends*. Access to online services, such as transaction download, quotes, and mobile sync, along with access to Quicken Support, will end if your subscription does. We’ll continue to let you know about product changes and enhancements within the Quicken product.

Can I continue using my current data file in the new Quicken Canada version?

Yes. The new version of Quicken Canada will automatically open and convert your existing data file.

What is Quicken Premium Support? How do I access it?

Your Quicken Canada subscription offers special ‘skip the line’ access to our customer support team. To access your Premium Support phone number, you can review the information in your purchase verification email, or log in to your Quicken.com account. Quicken Premium support is offered with Quicken Canada for Windows Home & Business.

What are the Quicken System requirements?

How many computers can I install the Quicken Canada on?

Per the Quicken Terms of Use, you can install Quicken on as many computers as needed in the same household. However, you should use the Quicken ID you purchased Quicken with to register each product installation.

Can I use the mobile app with the new Quicken Canada product?

Yes. What type of payment do you accept?

Orders must be charged on a major credit card. Quicken will fulfill orders charged to valid MasterCard and Visa accounts. Be sure to enter your card number, expiration date and personal data accurately. Review this information carefully when your completed order is displayed before submitting it.

Do you offer Quicken in French?

No. Quicken Canada is currently only available in English.

Can I use my Quicken Canada on my PC and my Mac?

Yes. Your Quicken membership comes with both the PC and Mac versions of the Canadian product for the same price, so you can download and install both versions.

How do I get a CD disk?

Quicken Canada is only available as a download from Quicken.com.

How many people can use Quicken Canada?

Quicken Canada is designed to work with one Quicken ID. The Quicken ID of the person that purchased Quicken can be used to create multiple Quicken files.

Billing and Account Management

How do I get a refund?

Quicken Canada offers a 30-day money back guarantee. You can request a refund by following the steps in the FAQ here. If you purchased Quicken more than 30 days ago, you're no longer eligible for a refund.

When does my Quicken membership end?

Your subscription ends one year from your purchase date. You can view your purchase and expiration dates in your Quicken.com account.

What if I don’t want to be automatically charged?

You can opt out of automatic renewal of your Quicken membership by updating this option on your Quicken.com account.

I’m not able to sign in to my account.

If you need help with logging in to your Quicken account, just go to Quicken.com and click Sign In > My Account on the top right of the page. Then, click on “Forgot your login or password” for help signing in to your account.

How do I access my product download to install or reinstall Quicken?

Just go to Quicken.com/Canada and click Sign In > My Account on the top right of the page. After you sign in, you’ll see a list of your purchases, available for download.

When does my Quicken subscription activate--date of purchase or registration?

Your subscription is activated on your date of purchase. You can confirm your purchase date by logging into your account on Quicken.com.

What happens when my membership ends?

You can view, edit, export, and manually enter transactions and accounts, even after your membership ends (Deluxe and higher versions). Access to online services, such as transaction download, quotes, and mobile sync, along with access to Quicken Support, will end if your membership does. How do I renew my membership?

If you already have a subscription membership, you'll receive an email reminder 30 days prior to your renewal date if we have your email on file. If you're signed up for auto-renew, you don't need to take any action; your credit card on file will be charged on your expiration date. If you're not signed up for auto-renew, seven days prior to your membership renewal date, you'll be able to purchase your membership renewal at Quicken.com.

How do I see or change my account settings?

You can review your account settings, including service status and purchase date, on your Quicken.com account.

I no longer need all the features of Quicken Canada Home & Business. How do I change to Quicken Deluxe or Starter (formerly Cash Manager)?
