CC-505 or Error 105 Using Various CIB accounts in Quicken
Learn why CC-505 (Windows) or Error 105 (Quicken for Mac) occurs when downloading transactions from your bank.
Error 105 and CC-505 are really saying "Website is unavailable or intermittently available".
When do you get this error and how long have you been experiencing it?
- Do you check for updates and experience this error around the same time of the day? It's possible your bank is updating their records during this time, which would cause them to be unavailable. Try again at a different time of the day.
- Do you check for updates and experience this error around over the weekend or only for a couple of days? The site may be unavailable due to server maintenance. Try again in a day or so.
- Do you check for updates and experience this error no matter the time or day and have been experiencing the error for over a week? There may be a script error (how Quicken connects to your bank). If so, please contact Quicken Support so your case can be escalated to our scripts engineers for resolution.
What do I do in the mean time?
Your option for updating your account(s) during these peak hours is to download and import a Web Connect (QFX) file from your bank's website. Otherwise, try your update at a later time.
