Change your mobile profile

After you've set up your Quicken desktop software, you might want to make changes to the profile that you created. Here's how:

  1. Click the Mobile & Alerts tab.
  2. Click edit profile.
  3. If prompted, enter your password. Depending on how you've set things up, this may either be your Password Vault password, or your Intuit ID password.
  4. The Preferences dialog displays

Changes you can make:

  • Intuit Profile
    • Update your Intuit ID
Click the Change link to update your Intuit ID. After changing your Intuit ID, you should use the updated Intuit ID to sign in to all Intuit services.
    • Update your e-mail address
Click the Change link to update your e-mail address. You will receive all communications from Intuit, including mobile alerts on this e-mail address. It is also used if you forget your Intuit ID or password, and you try to retrieve it.
    • Change your Intuit password
Click the Change Intuit Password link to change the password for your Intuit ID. Your password must be between 6-16 characters long, and contain no spaces. Once changed, you can use your new Intuit ID password to sign in to all Intuit services. Remember to make the same change on all of the mobile devices that you want to sync with this data file.
    • Sign in as a different user
Click the Sign in as a different User link to sign in as a different user. Before you can sign in as a different user, you must first unlink your data file from the Intuit ID that you are currently using. When you "unlink" a data file from an Intuit ID, your data is no longer synced between your desktop data file and the mobile devices that use the same Intuit ID. Unlinking does not delete your Intuit ID, nor does it delete any of your data stored in the Quicken Cloud.
      • Once changed, you'll use your Intuit ID to sign in to all Intuit Services.
      • Your e-mail address is used for all communications from Intuit, including mobile alerts. It is also used if you forget your Intuit ID or password.

Why you might want to do this:

      • You can't remember the password for your Intuit ID, and you can't reset your password because you don't have access to the email account that you're using.
      • You want to use your Intuit ID with a different data file.
    • Change your security question
Click the Change Security Question link to change the security question associated with this Intuit ID. You should remember your security question and answer because you will need it handy if you forget your Intuit password and you want to retrieve it.
  • Mobile and Alerts
    • Update your alert settings
Click the Alert settings link to change the Account Summary Notifications schedule, add a secondary email for alerts, enable or disable text message (SMS) alerts, and change the alerts you receive.
    • Delete your cloud data
Click the Delete your Cloud data link to permanently delete your synced account information stored on our servers. That same data will become immediately inaccessible on your mobile devices, and all of the alerts you've set up using these accounts will stop. No data will be deleted from you Quicken desktop data file. Deleting your cloud data will not delete any account data located on your desktop computer or data file, and will not delete your Intuit ID.
    • Unlink your cloud data file
Click the Unlink your Cloud Data to disassociate your Intuit ID from this data file. This will let you reset your password if you don't have access to the email account any longer, or use your Intuit ID with a different data file.

      Notes

Unlinking your Cloud data will prevent this data file from syncing with your current Intuit ID used for Mobile & Alerts. You should only unlink your Cloud data if instructed by a Quicken support specialist or if you’re experiencing technical issues which requires this step.
