How do I record personal trips

Say you need to make several trips to care for an aging relative, and family members who can't be there to help have offered to pitch in on your expenses. But these miles certainly aren't tax-deductible. Doesn't matter. You can still use the Vehicle Mileage Tracker to record personal trips.

  1. Open the Mileage Tracker.

    • From the Business tab
Click the Business tab, then click the Business Tools button and choose Mileage Tracker.
  2. Select a trip in the list.
  3. Enter a trip as usual.
  4. For Trip Type, select Other, and make a note to yourself in the Purpose field.
  5. Record your trip.
