Online Backup Error: LA2817: GetSocket
You may receive the following message when attempting to create on online backup:
This is typically cause by the online backup service not gaining access to the data file on your computer because of a failing Windows system call to access the network.
- In your Windows environment, click on your Start button, then select
Run. If you do not see Run as an option, click Windows logo key + R.
- In the Run dialog box, type in
CMD and press OK. A window will come up with a black background with a command prompt.
- Type in
Netsh Winsock Reset, then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Restart your computer, and attempt the backup again.
