What if I need to change a single mutual fund account so that I can add more securities to it?

Yes. You need to change it into a brokerage (regular) investment account.

  1. Choose Tools menu > Account List.
  2. Click the Edit button next to the account you want to change.
  3. In the Account Details dialog, click in the field next to Single Mutual Fund to change the attribute from Yes to No.

Caution!

You can change a single mutual fund account into a brokerage account, but once you change it, you can't change it back if it contains more than one security or has a cash balance.
