Overview
The following error occurs when installing Quicken:
Error 1305. Error reading from file [drive letter]:\Program Files\Quicken\[file name]. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
To resolve this issue
- On your hard drive, find the file that is referenced in the error message.
- Right-click the file in the Search Results and select Properties.
- On the General tab, under Attributes, clear the Read-only checkbox.
- Click OK.
