How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app

You can add and edit transactions from anywhere with the Quicken Mobile app.  

Before you begin: Sync to Quicken Mobile

To sync your latest balances and transactions before you start editing, tap How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app on your iOS device or How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app on your Android device.

Edit Transactions

  1. Open the Quicken Mobile app
  2. Tap on Accounts, then tap the account with transactions you want to review
  3. Find the transaction you want to edit, and tap it
  4. On the screen that appears, you can edit the Payee, Category, Date, Tags, or add a Memo (Note: Category and Tag selection in the mobile app with match those available in your Desktop product; to add new Categories and Tags, you'll need to add them in Quicken Desktop and then re-sync to your mobile device)
  5. Add or Edit a Split: If you'd like to add a Split to the transaction, tap the How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app icon on your iOS device or How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app on your Android device, then select Split 
  6. Add or Edit a Picture: If you'd like to add a picture of a receipt or invoice, you can click the camera icon and choose to Take a New Photo or Choose and Existing Photo
  7. Click the back arrow at the top of the screen to get back to your account
  8. After you've completed all changes, sync to your mobile device from the desktop product (Mobile & Alerts > Sync Now) to see your changes in Quicken desktop

Transfers: To record a transfer in the Quicken app, select Transfer as the category for the transaction. After you sync and view the transaction in your desktop software, the transfer will show as assigned to an Unspecified Account. Just choose the correct account and sync again, and the corrected transfer will appear on your mobile device.

Add Transactions

  1. Open the Quicken Mobile app
  2. Tap on Accounts, then tap the account you want to add the transaction to
  3. Tap the How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app icon on your iOS device or How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app on your Android device, then select Add Transaction
  4. Enter the amount of the transaction, the Payee, and whether it's Income or Expense, then click Next
  5. Complete the transaction details by adding a Category, Tag, or Memo (Note: Category and Tag selection in the mobile app with match those available in your Desktop product; to add new Categories and Tags, you'll need to add them in Quicken Desktop and then re-sync to your mobile device)
  6. Add or Edit a Split: If you'd like to add a Split to the transaction, tap the How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app icon on your iOS device or How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app on your Android device, then select Split 
  7. Add or Edit a Picture: If you'd like to add a picture of a receipt or invoice, you can click the camera icon and choose to Take a New Photo or Choose and Existing Photo
  8. Click Save to finish adding the transaction

Transfers: To record a transfer in the Quicken app, select Transfer as the category for the transaction. After you sync and view the transaction in your desktop software, the transfer will show as assigned to an Unspecified Account. Just choose the correct account and sync again, and the corrected transfer will appear on your mobile device.

Delete Transactions

Note: You can only delete transactions that you have manually added on your mobile device; transactions that have been downloaded from your bank can only be deleted in the Quicken Desktop product.

  1. Open the Quicken Mobile app
  2. Tap on Accounts, then tap the account you want to add the transaction to
  3. Find the transaction you want to delete, and tap it
  4. Tap the How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app icon on your iOS device or How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile app on your Android device, then select Delete Transaction, then Delete
