How to View, Edit, or Delete Transactions in the Quicken Mobile App

You can add and edit transactions from anywhere with the Quicken Mobile App.  

Before you begin: Sync to Quicken Mobile

To sync your latest balances and transactions before you start editing, swipe down on the Mobile App home screen.

Edit Transactions

  1. Open the Quicken Mobile App
  2. Select the account with transactions you want to review
  3. Find the transaction you want to edit, and tap it
  4. On the screen that appears, you can edit the Payee, Category, Date, Tags, or add a Memo 
  5. Add or Edit a Split: If you'd like to add a Split to the transaction, swipe left on the transaction, then select Split. You can also add a Category this way.  
  6. Add or Edit a Picture: follow the steps here 
  7. Click the back arrow at the top left of the screen to get back to your account
  8. After you've completed all changes, sync to your mobile device from the desktop product (Mobile & Alerts > Sync Now) to see your changes in Quicken desktop

Transfers: At this time, transactions that are transfers are not editable in the Quicken Mobile App. If you would like to create a transfer, you must do so in the desktop application. Once you add the transfer on the desktop app, it will appear in mobile but you will not be able to edit it.

Add Transactions

  1. Open the Quicken Mobile App
  2. Select the account you want to add the transaction to
  3. Tap the plus icon at the bottom of the screen
  4. Complete the transaction details by adding a Category, TagMemo, and Payee. When entering the amount, you can specify if it is an expense or income by toggiing the +/- button in the bottom left of the number pad.  
  5. Add or Edit a Split: If you'd like to add a Split to the transaction, swipe left on the transaction, then select Split. You can also add a Category this way.  
  6. Add or Edit a Picture: follow the steps here
  7. Tap Save to finish adding the transaction

Transfers: At this time, transactions that are transfers are not editable in the Quicken Mobile App. If you would like to create a transfer, you must do so in the desktop application. Once you add the transfer on the desktop app, it will appear in mobile but you will not be able to edit it.

Delete Transactions

Note: You can only delete transactions that you have manually added on your mobile device; transactions that have been downloaded from your bank can only be deleted in the Quicken Desktop product.

  1. Open the Quicken Mobile App
  2. Select the account you want to delete the transaction from
  3. Find the transaction you want to delete, and tap it
  4. Select Delete Transaction, then Delete
