On occasion, Quicken Support may ask to see your screen, in order to troubleshoot issues or assist you with using Quicken.  During screenshare, we're not able to control your computer or take any action on your computer system; we can only guide you to the right place on your screen.  

Before you begin: If you're using a dual monitor setup, we recommend that you switch to a single monitor before using screenshare.

Quicken for Windows

2018 release of Quicken and Quicken 2017: Use the built-in screenshare function

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Screen Share.

  1. Click I Agree on the following prompt.
  2. Enter the security key that the agent provides to you and click Share your screen.  Quicken Support can now see your screen.
  3. To end the session, click Stop sharing your screen.

Quicken 2016: If you're using Chrome 

  1. Go to the screenshare website. (https://www.quicken.com/support/screenshare)
  2. Enter the security key that the agent provides to you and click Share your screen. 
  3. You will be prompted to add the Screen Share extension, click Add extension.

  1. On the following Share your screen prompt, select Your Entire Screen.  If you have a dual monitor setup, select which screen you want to share.

  1. Click Share. Quicken Support can now see your screen.
  2. To end the session, click Stop sharing your screen.

Quicken 2016: If you're not using Chrome 

To screenshare, please follow the steps below with our support team:

  1. Download the screenshare app for your computer.
  2. If you are prompted with a security warning, click Run.  The file download may take a little time.  Windows 10 users, click "More Info" and "Run Anyway"

  1. On the screenshare installation window, click Install.

  1. A window will appear, prompting you for a security key.  Quicken Support will provide you with this number.

  2. After you enter the security key, click Share your screen. Quicken Support can now see your screen.
  3. To end the session, click Stop sharing your screen.

Quicken for Mac

OS X Yosemite (version 10.10 or newer only)

To screenshare, please follow the steps below with our support team:

  1. Go to Help > Share Screen...
  2. A window will appear, prompting you for a security key.  Quicken Support will provide you with this number.

  3. After you enter the security key, click Share your screen.  Quicken Support can now see your screen.
  4. To end the session, click Stop sharing your screen.

If the Screenshare option is not available

You will need to download the Quicken Utility to share your screen:

  1. Download the QuickenUtility.dmg file, then double-click the file in your Downloads folder.
  2. A Quicken Utility window will appear, instructing you to drag the Quicken Utility icon to the Applications folder

  1. Drag the Quicken Utility icon to the Applications folder. You have now installed Quicken Utility.
  2. Double-click the Applications folder, and locate the Quicken Utility icon. Double-click the Quicken Utility icon.

  1. When Quicken Utility opens, click the blue Share Screen with Quicken Care button at the top. You do not need to click Check for Updates
