Nothing Happens When Printing Invoices

To resolve this issue you can try any or all of the following:

  1. Create a new invoice, and then verify that it prints.
  2. Remove the logo file (*.bmp), from the invoice that you want to print.
  3. Edit the location of the logo file to match the correct path on your hard drive.
  4. In rare circumstances: edit the location of the logo file to a location with a shorter file path (example: c:\documents and settings...) - there is a 255 character limit for file paths.

To create an invoice with your logo:

  1. If you are using:
    • The Class Menus view: From the Quicken Business menu, choose Invoices and Estimates, and then choose Design Forms.
    • The Standard Menus view: Select the Business tab.  Then under the Business Actions drop-down menu on the top right, select Invoices and Estimates... and then Design Invoice Forms.
  2. Open the form you want to edit, and then from the items listed under Invoice Layout, click Logo.
  3. Under Logo Options, select either Left or Center. This will distinguish where the logo will appear. 
  4. Click Browse, and then locate your logo file.
  5. Select the file, and then click Open.
  6. Click OK.

To remove the existing logo from an invoice

  1. If you are using:
    • The Class Menus view: From the Quicken Business menu, choose Invoices and Estimates, and then choose Design Forms.
    • The Standard Menus view: Select the Business tab.  Then under the Business Actions drop-down menu on the top right, select Invoices and Estimates... and then Design Invoice Forms.
  2. Open the form you want to edit, and then from the items listed under Invoice Layout, click Logo.
  3. Clear the Print Company Logo checkbox to remove your logo from the invoice layout, and then click OK.

To edit the path of the logo file (*.bmp) on your hard drive

  1. If you are using:
    • The Class Menus view: From the Quicken Business menu, choose Invoices and Estimates, and then choose Design Forms.
    • The Standard Menus view: Select the Business tab.  Then under the Business Actions drop-down menu on the top right, select Invoices and Estimates... and then Design Invoice Forms.
  2. Open the form you want to edit, and then from the items listed under Invoice Layout, click Logo.
  3. Select the Print Company Logo checkbox to add your logo to the invoice layout.
  4. Click Browse, and then locate your logo file. 
  5. Store the file to the correct path on the hard drive, and then click OK.

 To change the location of the logo file on your hard drive

  1. Locate the logo file on your hard drive.  If you do not know where the file exists, search for it by name (Start > Search or Start, then type in the file name in the dialog box).
  2. Cut or copy the file (right-click on the file name to choose either option).
  3. Paste the file to you Desktop (right-click directly on the desktop, then choose Paste).
