Quick Pay Error: Proofs Needed

You may receive the following error when attempting to make a payment using Quick Pay in Quicken Bill Manager:

"Quicken was unable to process your payment because the information you provided for [biller name] was incomplete. Your payment has been canceled."


Many billers establish challenge questions for users of their online accounts. When the biller presents a challenge question to the user, Quicken Bill Manager saves the answers to the challenge questions. 

If there are challenge questions asked by the biller that Quicken has not saved on your behalf, you will need to answer and validate those questions before your payment can be processed.

To resolve this issue

  1. Go to the Bills & Income tab.

  1. Select the gear icon

  1. From the menu, select Manage Online billers
  2. Find your biller and select Edit Password
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to save your answers to the challenge questions set for the biller.  

After you have updated your biller with your answers, you can resubmit your payment
