Overview
Depending on several factors (such as whether or not you have enabled online account access or use scheduled transactions or postdated checks), your account register can show up to three different balances:
Projected Balance
The ending balance is the balance of all transactions entered in the account register, including future-dated transactions such as postdated checks and online payments that have been sent but not yet processed.
Today's Balance
The current balance is the balance of all transactions entered as of today.
Online Balance
This amount will be different than the Today's or Projected balance in Quicken if:
You have manually entered transactions in your Quicken register that have not yet been cleared by your financial institution.
Your financial institution has pending transactions listed for your account. This is because Quicken ignores pending transactions until they are cleared by your financial institution.
