Setting up Budgets in Quicken for Mac



To set up a budget

  1. Choose Budgets > New Budget.

      Based on your 3-month spending averages, Quicken suggests spending goals in categories many people choose to track in their budgets. You can change the suggested goal amounts, and add or remove categories to track.
  2. Click the Add (+) button to select the categories and/or tags you want to track.

      To add expected income to your budget, add an income category such as Salary.
  3. Enter a monthly spending goal for each category or tag you want to track.
  4. Click OK.

Tip: To find out which version of Quicken you are using, open Quicken go to Help menu and select About Quicken.
