Users may experience an issue where the top menu bar becomes see-through. The menu bar is still functional and the menus can be clicked but are not visible.

The menu bar issue looks similar to the picture shown above. In some instances, the File and Help menus are also not visible.


Please note, the .exe provided below is to be used at your own risk. If you are not comfortable using the fix provided, you can contact Microsoft customer support. 


To resolve this issue:

  1. Close Quicken.
  2. Download and run QWMenuFix.exe.
  3. Windows Defender Smart Screen may bring up this prompt, simply click on More info...

....and then Run anyway.

  1. Once the install completes, you will get a DOS type screen confirming the update was successful.

The Quicken menu bar should now be visible.
