Overview
Discover is transitioning all Direct Connect accounts to a different connection method on 9/27/2022. If you have Discover accounts connected via Direct Connect, you will need to take action to maintain your transaction download in Quicken.
Instructions: Quicken for Windows
Before you begin: You will need to be on the latest release of Quicken to complete the steps below. To do this, go to Help > Check for Updates. If an update is available, a prompt will appear giving you the option to install it.
- When you update your accounts in Quicken, you will be prompted to change the connection method. Click Reauthorize.
- If you do not see a Reauthorize button, follow the steps in this support article to Deactivate and Reactivate your Discover accounts. While Reactivating, select Express Web Connect when prompted.
- All you need to do is sign in with your Discover credentials when prompted to establish a connection.
- After signing in, choose to Link your account(s) to your existing accounts in Quicken.
- Click Next.

- When you update your accounts in Quicken, you will be prompted to change to the new connection method.
- All you need to do is sign in with your Discover credentials when prompted to establish a connection.
- After you sign in, choose to Link your account(s) to your existing accounts in Quicken.
