Direct Connect Discontinuation for Discover

Overview

Discover is transitioning all Direct Connect accounts to a different connection method on 9/27/2022. If you have Discover accounts connected via Direct Connect, you will need to take action to maintain your transaction download in Quicken.

Instructions: Quicken for Windows

Before you begin: You will need to be on the latest release of Quicken to complete the steps below. To do this, go to Help > Check for Updates. If an update is available, a prompt will appear giving you the option to install it.

  1. When you update your accounts in Quicken, you will be prompted to change the connection method. Click Reauthorize.
    1. If you do not see a Reauthorize button, follow the steps in this support article to Deactivate and Reactivate your Discover accounts. While Reactivating, select Express Web Connect when prompted. 

  1. All you need to do is sign in with your Discover credentials when prompted to establish a connection. 
  2. After signing in, choose to Link your account(s) to your existing accounts in Quicken.
  3. Click Next

Instructions: Quicken for Mac

  1. When you update your accounts in Quicken, you will be prompted to change to the new connection method.

  1. All you need to do is sign in with your Discover credentials when prompted to establish a connection. 

  1. After you sign in, choose to Link your account(s) to your existing accounts in Quicken.
