Overview

You may receive a message that your computer cannot verify your printer in Quicken.

Cause

This error may occur if you have an excessive number of printers installed on your computer or Quicken has incorrect information about your printer. The following information shows you how to correct this error.

Solution

Before performing the steps below, make sure you have the latest release before trying the steps listed below.

  1. Go to File > Validate and Repair File.

  2. In the next prompt, select Validate file and Reset all Quicken printer settings.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Restart your computer.

  5. Try to print again.

Note: If you have customized fonts or other printing options you will need to configure Quicken again.

If the issue persists

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, make sure that you're using the latest printer driver. You can do this by searching the internet for your printer's model number and the word "driver." You can also go to the manufacturer's support page and search for the drivers for your printer model. If you are unable to locate the driver, you can uninstall and reinstall the printer software. This will typically install the latest version of the software with the latest driver.
