Want to make sure you have the latest patch update for your Quicken software? You've come to the right place! 

Before you begin

  • While we provide the patch update below, they can also be found in Quicken by going to Help > Check for Updates.
  • You can check your release version by opening Quicken and going to Help > About Quicken
  • If you reinstall Quicken, make sure you've installed the latest patch release before opening your data file; otherwise, you may be unable to use online services.

Important: If you missed any releases, don't worry. You only need to download the most recent release to update Quicken.

How to Install the Update (US and Canada)

Quicken for Windows: Manual Patch Update

  1. Click on the link above for the update you prefer (these steps apply to both).
  2. In the bottom left corner of your browser, click Open file when the download is complete.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
  4. When finished, you can verify the release version of Quicken by selecting the Help menu in the software and choosing About Quicken.

  • Resolved a problem where customers could not enable Complete Investing for manual accounts after disconnecting from an Express Web Connect (EWC) account.
  • Corrected a display error where selecting multiple accounts in Projected Balances showed a blank dialog for the report’s Customize feature.
  • Resolved an issue in the "Subtotal by" functionality within Customize for reports, ensuring accurate subtotalling in the Capital Gains report according to the selected criteria.
  • Aligned Net Worth calculations between the account bar and dashboard card, addressing discrepancies related to rounding or conversion errors.
  • Fixed issue using data for contact information during account setup, ensuring financial institution details are accurately displayed.
  • Resolved an issue affecting the synchronization of Business Intent Credit cards with web and mobile applications, causing a disruption in transaction downloads.
  • Addressed a crash related to online bill reminders that sometimes occurred during One Step Update.
  • Resolved an issue with Direct Connect process to properly update and send new passwords, addressing errors caused by the use of outdated passwords.

  • Enabled access to Gold and Silver price quotes, making it easier for customers to obtain this information using the symbols ^XAUUSD for Gold and ^XAGUSD for Silver, for example.

  • Improved the graph in the Income by Security report, now allowing for stacked bars to display income by security or income by type (e.g., dividends, interest) when subtotaling by month, quarter, or year, with an added option to show period-to-date income.
  • Enhanced the Investment Performance report by incorporating Overall Total IRR (Internal Rate of Return), providing users with a meaningful indicator of their investment performance.
  • Quicken now automatically remembers new payees and any changes in categories and amounts when entering transactions, simplifying the categorization process.
  • Portfolio View Options now allow users to specify that dividends from the quote feed should be used for Estimated Income.

  • Improved reliability when adding Online Bills. Also adjusted handling of billers that go into an error state.
  • Quicken would fail when receiving an error during account addition. It now displays the error and gives instructions for Direct Connect account setup

  • Fixed a display issue in the Investing dashboard that occurred when Large Font mode was turned on.
  • Fixed an issue where custom category groups containing transfer transactions were not appearing in the budgeting view, making it difficult for customers to budget those categories.
  • Quicken now ensures that transfers are linked correctly on the companion app.
  • Fixed an issue where unrelated billers would erroneously display errors when an online bill was in an error state.
  • Fixed a display issue where the category menu opened on the wrong screen when using multiple displays stacked on top of each other.

Troubleshooting
