Want to make sure you have the latest patch update for your Quicken software? You've come to the right place!

Before you begin

  • While we provide the patch update below, they can also be found in Quicken by going to Help > Check for Updates.

  • You can check your release version by opening Quicken and going to Help > About Quicken.

  • If you reinstall Quicken, make sure you've installed the latest patch release before opening your data file; otherwise, you may be unable to use online services.

Important: If you missed any releases, don't worry. You only need to download the most recent release to update Quicken.

For Sales & Renewals, or if you're having trouble signing in:
  1. Click on the link above for the update you prefer (these steps apply to both).

  2. In the bottom left corner of your browser, click Open file when the download is complete.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.

  4. When finished, you can verify the release version of Quicken by selecting the Help menu in the software and choosing About Quicken.

  • FIXED - Issues causing application crashes.

Taxes

  • IMPROVED - Tax Export now creates a single TXF file that combines Capital Gains with other tax information, and you can specify the tax year for the export. Quicken can also create a tax export file in the modernized TXJ format. You can still create separate export files using Tax Tools in the Planning/Tax Center tab.

  • IMPROVED - Updated tax rates for 2025. The new tax rates are effective January 1, 2025.

Reports & Display

  • IMPROVED - Access to the "Collapse all graphs in reports by default" setting has been added to the Display dialog in reports.

  • IMPROVED - The Account Bar now displays totals for individual sections within main account groups.

  • FIXED - The Investment Asset Allocation report no longer includes sold or expired securities.

Preferences

  • IMPROVED - You can now search for specific settings in the Preferences dialog.

Other Fixes

  • FIXED - Transaction dates retain separator hyphens when using the (ddd dd-MM-yyyy) short date format (e.g., Tue 12-11-2024).

  • FIXED - Subscription checks are now verified at launch to enable access to connect to Quicken and LifeHub.

  • FIXED - Some issues that could result in software crashes.

What's Improved

  • Transactions now appear in the Security Detail view for holdings in investment accounts marked as Separate.

  • The Recent Payments section on the Bills tab now loads properly after restarting with Show recent activity selected.

  • Resolved a crash when scrolling the Memorized Payee List in the Edit Transaction Group under Bills.

  • The sort preference in the Portfolio section of the Investment Dashboard is now retained when changing the account selection.

  • Manually entered stock prices in the Edit Price History now retain decimal formatting instead of converting to fractions in the Canadian edition.

  • Bond transactions (Bought and Sold) are now correctly accepted into the register for customers with Auto Accept turned on.

  • Issue viewing Investment Dashboard in Quicken Classic for Canada.

  • Corrected an issue in the Move Transactions tool for investment accounts where the wrong transactions were being selected.

  • Pending transactions edited in companion apps now retain their category after syncing back to Quicken Windows.

  • Rollover for budget parent categories now works correctly when the Everything Else section has a non-zero amount.

  • The _RlzdGain category in the Planning tab now consistently shows net gain/loss, aligning with the budget and income/expense reports.

  • Addressed an issue preventing login to Quicken for Windows on non-English language operating systems.

  • Resolved an issue causing Quicken to crash when opening data files due to .NET framework installation errors.

  • If you click the link for the patch and the download doesn't begin, make sure your browser does not have a pop-up blocker enabled that could be preventing the patch from downloading.
