Job Summary: 

We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Quality Engineering - QSD to lead and grow our quality engineering function across backend, frontend, and platform teams. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, balances technical depth with people leadership, and is passionate about building scalable quality practices.

You will manage multiple high-impact teams, drive automation-first testing strategies (Java-based, .NET-based), and partner closely with engineering, product, and DevOps to ensure every release meets the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.

You are expected to collaborate closely with stakeholders and the Head of Quality Engineering – North America, offering an opportunity to influence global quality strategy while driving execution locally. Some flexibility in working hours will be required to collaborate effectively across time zones.

Responsibilities: 
  • Lead, mentor, and grow multiple cross-functional quality engineering teams (backend, frontend).
  • Develop strategic direction, coach, and lead teams specializing in manual testing.
  • Stay actively hands-on with test automation frameworks and pipelines (Java, .NET, API, UI, mobile).
  • Define and implement quality strategies aligned with business needs (fintech-grade reliability, security).
  • Drive an automation-first approach — reduce manual regression, expand test coverage.
  • Partner with development, product management, and design to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Implement metrics & dashboards (defect leakage, automation coverage, cycle time) to measure and continuously improve quality outcomes.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Quality – North America and other QE leadsaligning local execution with global strategy.
  • Foster a culture of shared ownership for quality across engineering.
Qualifications: 
  • 10+ years in software quality engineering, with 5+ years in leadership/management roles.
  • Proven experience managing multiple teams in a fast-paced environment (fintech preferred).
  • Extensive experience and deep expertise in establishing and managing teams focused on manual testing.
  • Strong expertise in test automation frameworks (Java, .NET, API, UI).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Strong Experience with backend and frontend testing (APIs, services, microservices, web apps, mobile).
  • Knowledge of financial systems or compliance frameworks is a strong plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical work.
  • Comfortable working with a globally distributed leadership team, with flexibility to occasionally adjust hours for time-zone collaboration.
