Overview

This report provides an organized view of sales tax owed to each Tax Agency. Data is categorized by Tax Agency and Tax Rate, with amounts shown in columns for Total Sales, Non-Taxable Sales, Taxable Sales, and Sales Tax Owed, including totals.

This report uses accrual basis accounting to align with most tax filing requirements, with cash accounting support planned for a future update

For the report to display tax information correctly, verify the following:

  • The report is based on the information originally entered on the invoices.

  • The Taxable option is enabled for the applicable product or service.

  • A tax agency has been created in Quicken and assigned the appropriate tax rate.

You can create a tax rate directly from an invoice or by navigating to Window > Sales Tax and setting it up there.

Entries without a sales tax agency are displayed under No Agency.
