Overview
This occurs when scheduled updates stuck in the background cause Quicken for Windows to have trouble opening. Quicken must be closed for the scheduled update to run and complete.

Completely close down the Quicken software and wait a few minutes before opening it again. If you keep receiving the error message, follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.
Force quit the update and disable Scheduled Updates
1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard and select Task Manager from the menu.
2. Select the Processes tab.

3. Scroll through the Processes list and look for bagent.exe.
4. Select bagent.exe and click End Task.
5. Reopen Quicken.
6. Choose the Tools menu > Schedule Updates....

7. Under the Schedule section, uncheck all checkboxes for the days of the week.

8. Once all the day boxes are unchecked, click OK.
