Printer Setup Window Wont Open

This issue will occur if the Quicken printer settings configuration file (wpr.ini) has incorrect information about your printer.

Replacing the wpr.ini file will resolve this issue. First, close Quicken and then:

  • For Windows 7 and Vista
    1. Right-click the Windows Start button, and select Explore.
    2. Select the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
    3. Click the View tab and select Show hidden files and folders.
    4. Click OK.

      • Windows 7 / Vista: Double-click Local Disk (C:) > ProgramData > Intuit > Quicken > Config
      • Windows XP: Double-click Local Disk (C:) > Documents and Settings > All Users > Application Data > Intuit > Quicken > Config.
      • Note: If you are unable to find the wpr.ini file in the above mentioned locations, search for it: Click on Start, choose Search (or use the Search box in Windows 7).
    6. Right-click on Wpr.ini, and select Rename.
      Note: The wpr.ini file contains your printer setup information for Quicken. Renaming this file will erase your printer settings. If you have customized fonts or other printing options you will need to configure Quicken again.
    7. Reopen Quicken.
  • For Windows 10
    1. Right-click the Windows Start button, and select File Explorer.
    2. Click the View tab and under Show/hide section checked "Hidden item".

      • Windows 10: Double-click Local Disk (C:) > ProgramData > Intuit > Quicken > Config
    4. Right-click on Wpr.ini, and select Rename.
