Tell me about attaching images to transactions and accounts

Quicken works directly with your phone or tablet, scanner, Microsoft® Windows Clipboard, and Windows Explorer so you can easily attach digital images and files to transactions and accounts. For example, you could attach a scanned image of a check, receipt, bill, invoice, warranty, or a digital photo of a purchased product. Quicken supports image attachment for all account types (including investment, asset, and liability).

If you use Quicken on your phone or tablet it's possible to take a photo of a restaurant bill, for example, and then attach the photo to a Quicken transaction entered on your mobile device. The transaction and the photo are then automatically uploaded to your Quicken Cloud data where you can view it using Quicken on your computer the next time you sync your desktop software.

What do I need to know before getting started?

  • What types of files can I attach?
    You can attach a .bmp, .gif, .ico, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, or .tiff file.

    From Quicken on your phone or tablet, you can attach a photo that you take to a transaction, or you can select any other image to attach that is already saved in your photo library.
