Quicken displays N/A for the ROI %, Return, Return % and Average Annual Return if you have not held the security for the entire time period selected. For example, if you are viewing ROI % YTD, you must have held the security at the beginning of the year for Quicken to calculate the ROI. If you are viewing ROI 1-year, you must have held the security for a year to see the ROI in Quicken.

Viewing ROI with no holding period will show the ROI for the security regardless of how long you have held it.
